Secretary Pompeo Spoke to Australian PM

The ongoing problem in Syria is getting attention of all the world. The US who were till recently were working with Kurds left them in the middle of their war.

The Kurds population have started migrating to safe location fearing the attacks by Turkey. The Indian Government has also asked Turkey to show restraint and honor the sovereignty of Syria.

Mean while in America, Secretary Michael R. Pompeo spoke with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Foreign Minister Marise Payne yesterday to discuss the ongoing Turkish military incursion in Northeastern Syria.

Secretary Pompeo, Prime Minister Morrison, and Foreign Minister Payne shared concern about Turkey’s unilateral military operation into the region and discussed the potentially grave consequences for regional security.

The Secretary thanked the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister for speaking out on the matter publicly and for their joint statement urging restraint.
