PM Narendra Modi To Participate In Somnath Amrit Parv In Gujarat Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate today in Somnath Amrit Parv-2026, marking 75 years of the reconstruction of the first Jyotirlinga, Somnath Mahadev Temple. The Prime Minister will offer prayers to Lord Somnath, perform the Kumbhabhishek ritual, and later address a public gathering. A roadshow has also been organised on the occasion. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi will also remain present.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Somnath from Jamnagar by air. After landing at the helipad, he will greet the public during a roadshow up to Veer Hamirji Gohil Circle.

Thereafter, the Prime Minister will pay floral tribute to the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who envisioned the reconstruction of the Somnath Temple. PM Modi will perform special prayers at the temple and will also take part in the Kumbhabhishek ceremony and flag hoisting on the temple spire.

On the occasion, the Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team will present a thrilling air show in the skies over Somnath. After the religious rituals, the Prime Minister will address a public meeting. He will also release a special commemorative postal stamp and a special ₹75 commemorative coin.
