Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai announced that the companies have reached 100 million subscribers to the Google One service, which allows access to more features as well as additional storage for free services like Gmail, Drive, and Photos. The Google One Premium plan comes with 2 terabytes of storage and other features like VPN and dark web monitoring.
The company's new AI Premium plan gives users access to Gemini AI, and will soon offer generative AI features inside Gmail and Docs. We recently surpassed 100 million Google One subscribers! We're looking forward to building on that momentum with our new AI Premium plans, offering AI features like Gemini Advanced, Gemini in Gmail, Docs Plus, and more.
Google One offers more storage, unlocks exclusive features in Google products, and allows the company to build stronger relationships with its most active users. Google One plans start at $1.99 per month, which offers 100GB of storage shareable with up to five people and access to its VPN service in the US.
People can start using Gemini Advanced by subscribing to the new Google One AI Premium plan. The 'Gemini Ultra' AI model will be a paid experience, available through the new $20 Google One tier (with a two-month free trial), which includes up to 2 terabytes of storage and Gemini support across Google workspace apps like Docs, Slides, Sheets and Meet. Access is also included.
