In conversation with Dr. Nisha Singh Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, KGMU Lucknow. There exists a bottomless barrel of questions every woman/girl wants to ask about Menstruation.

Recently witnessed 28th May as Menstrual Awareness Day. The team GirlUp Roohi in collaboration with University of Lucknow hosted a webinar on Menstrual hygiene on 30th May at 4pm IST.

Under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Professor Alok Kumar Rai, the meeting joined by H.O.D. Physics Department and Dean of Student Welfare Professor Poonam Tandon, Dean Research Professor Monisha Banerjee.

Guest speaker Dr. Nisha Singh MD from AIIMS New Delhi. She is currently the head of Genital Cancer unit in the Department of obstetrics and gynaecology in KGMU, Lucknow.

She has been garnered with prestigious awards for excellence and contribution to medicine; namely Best faculty award- 6th academic brilliance award 2018, Bharat Jyoti Award (IIFS), Best Paper Award FOGSI 2010, AOGIN India 2015 & 2019.

We are honoured by her presence and her devotion to the welfare of women with Gynaecological Cancers.

The most important ones being whether to use two sanitary products simultaneously, how you can deal with bloating and swelling while you are on your period and the famous myths and taboos about taking a shower and cleaning yourself.
