It seems like nothing is currently working in the favor of Congress Leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. Wherever they are given command, the performance of the Congress Party goes to an all-time low. It happened in the recently held UP election where Priyanka Gandhi was given full power to contest the election against Yogi Adityanath and Akhilesh Yadav.
Congress leaders lost their guarantee money in most of the constituency. Earlier when they were running a government in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Kamal Nath and Rahul Gandhi were not able to manage Jyotiraditya Scindia, which happened to be the main reason for losing the State Election.
Now a State where the assembly elections are due next year, a youth leader who was till now Congress Party's Poster Boy has announced to leave the party. His announcement to leave the Congress party and the allegations on top leadership will hit congress's chances in the upcoming state election.
Hardik Patel is a very popular leader in the Patidar community and has a very good alliance with youth leaders of India. His statement would give BJP much-needed firepower to further attack Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi. He said that "the top leaders are distracted by their mobile phones" , he in fact went on to say that the Gujrat Congress was more interested in ensuring "Chicken Sandwiches" for the top leaders.
He blamed the top leadership, particularly Rahul Gandhi, who brought him to the Congress party just before the Loksabha Election in 2019 and gave him charge of working as President of the Gujrat Congress Party. In a letter to the Party President Mrs. Soniya Gandhi, he blamed the leadership for not taking issues seriously. Patel, though denied that he would join BJP but prediction in politics is a tough task.
