University of Lucknow organized Medal Distribution ceremony of meritorious students of Post-graduate Programme of Social Work for the session 2019-20. Total 8 Gold Medals are conferred to three students. Ms. Anam Khan conferred with 6 Gold Medals including Vijaya Shila J.P. Jaiswal Gold Medal for securing highest percentage of marks in Hindi, Sociology or Social Work in M.A., Raj Mohini Sayal Gold Medal for secured highest percentage of Marks in M.A. II (Social Work) among girl students, Smt. Resham Devi maurya Gold Medal for obtaining highest marks in Field Work, Vimal Ananad Memorial Gold Medal for securing highest percentage of marks among the successful girl candidate of M.A. Part-II, Vigyan Ratna Dr. Lakshaman Prasad Golden Jubilee Gold Medal for securing the highest marks in M.A. Part-II Examination only (i.e. Aggregate of III & IV Semester) 2020 and Shree Ram Chandra Khinduka Gold Medal for securing first position and first division in MSW- 2020.

Ms. Mansi Singh Verma is conferred with Sri Chaudhary Babu Ram Numberdar and Smt. Tulsa Devi Memorial Gold Medal for securing highest marks in the final examination of MSW among OBC/SC/ST regular students.

Mr. Anil Pathak is conferred Late Rai Sahab M.P. Srivastava Gold Medal for highest marks in P.G. Diploma in Social Duties and Human Rights.

Prof. Prem Suman Sharma, Dean, Faculty of Arts, University of Lucknow was the Chief Guest for the programme. Prof. Anoop Kumar Bhrtiya, Head, Department of Social Work, University of Lucknow, presided the programme. Prof. Raj Kumr Singh, Prof. D.K. Singh, Prof. Gurnam Singh, Dr. Mohini Gautam, Dr. Shikha Singh, Dr. Sandhya Yadav, Dr. Omendra Kumar Yadav, Dr. Rajnesh Kumar Yadav, all the faculty members and students of Social Work Department were present in the programme.

Chief Guest Prof. Prem Suman Sharma addressed the students and said there is no alternate of hard work. She emphases on need of discipline and human values for becoming good student as well as human being.

Prof. D.K. Singh welcomes all the dignitaries and students and said that every student have done their bit and all the efforts are important. Prof. Raj Kumar Singh addressed the Programme by congratulating the awardees and said that behind every there is lot of hard work done by the students. In his presiding address Prof. A.K. Bhartiya said that each student is unique and special. Every student has potential to achieve what he/she wishes quoting shlok of Gita he said every effort gets rewarded. It is important to do hard work with honest.

Highest medal awardee Ms. Anam Khan shares her memories of department and said that the teachers from department have played great role in shaping her academic as well as personal capabilities at the end of the programme. Prof. Gurnam Singh has given vote of thanks and appreciated efforts put by students to improve them.
