Bommai meets with Rajnath Singh and requests that he turn over state land that is under defence control.

Basavraj Bommai, the chief minister of Karnataka, met with Rajnath Singh, the union defence minister, on Tuesday in Delhi and asked him to transfer 732.24 acres of land under military control to Karnataka.

Karnataka CM stated, citing development plans for the aforementioned land, that "732.24 acres of land at Tukamatti village in Belagavi district belong to the state government but are under the control of Ministry of Defense, without which it has not been possible to undertake any development works in the district."

The CM pleaded with Rajnath Singh, "Appropriate directives may be issued to the appropriate authorities to hand over that land to the deputy commissioner of Belagavi district."

Manjunath Prasad, the principal secretary to the chief minister, Rakesh Singh, the additional chief secretary for water resources, and others accompanied the chief minister.
