Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah has directed the formation of an Inter-Ministerial Team to investigate the recent deaths in Jammu’s Rajouri district. The team, led by the Ministry of Home Affairs, will visit the affected village on January 19 to determine the causes behind the fatalities in three separate incidents over the past six weeks.
The team will comprise experts from various ministries, including Health and Family Welfare, Agriculture, Chemicals and Fertilizers, and Water Resources. Additionally, specialists in animal husbandry, food safety, and forensic science will assist the investigation.
The team’s efforts will focus not only on identifying the underlying causes of the deaths but also on coordinating with local authorities to provide immediate relief and implement precautionary measures to prevent future occurrences.
Experts from some of the country's leading institutions have been enlisted to support the investigation and ensure a thorough and comprehensive assessment of the situation.
