All-party meeting today before the budget, NDA meeting chaired by PM Modi at 3:00 pm

All-Party Meeting: The government has called an all-party meeting today (January 30), a day before the start of the budget session of the Parliament. The meeting, called by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, will be held in the annexe building of Parliament House this afternoon. It is expected that during the meeting, the government will seek cooperation from all parties for the proper running of the Parliament.

Opposition parties are expected to put forth their concerns during the meeting and the issues to be raised during the session. In the afternoon, there will also be a meeting of leaders in the House of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The budget session will be in two parts. The session will begin with the address of President Draupadi Murmu in the joint sitting of both the Houses of Parliament. The Economic Survey will be presented after the President's address.

Finance Minister will present the budget

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget on February 1. The Union Budget 2023-24 may be the last full budget before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The first part of the Parliament session will start from January 31 and will continue till February 13. There, there will be a holiday from 14 February to 12 March. The second part of the budget session will run from March 13 to April 6. In the second phase, the Finance Bill will be discussed in both ouses of the Parliament, after which the Bill will be passed by both Houses.

Draupadi Murmu will address the Parliament for the first time

Actually, this will be the fifth and last full budget of the second term of the Modi government. After the presentation of the budget by Nirmala Sitharaman, the motion of thanks on the address of President Draupadi Murmu will also be discussed. On the first day of the budget session, President Draupadi Murmu will be seen addressing the Parliament for the first time .
