EAM Jaishankar Calls on Seychelles President Herminie

India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar called on the President of Seychelles, Dr. Patrick Herminie, who is currently on a visit to India.

Referring to the two nations as maritime neighbours, Jaishankar said he values President Herminie’s support in advancing Vision MAHASAGAR for economic prosperity and security in the region.

He also expressed confidence that President Herminie’s engagements with Prime Minister Narendra Modi would open new avenues for cooperation between the two countries.

President Herminie, who is on a six-day visit to India, arrived in New Delhi on Sunday. Before reaching the capital, he visited Chennai and Mumbai, where he attended business events. The visit is expected to further strengthen wide-ranging cooperation and robust people-to-people ties between India and Seychelles.
