On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in video conferencing conversations with recently hired employees of government agencies and organisations to learn more about their experiences.
Suprabha Biswas, a PNB employee from West Bengal who was appointed to the position, claimed that because her mother works as a housewife and her father is a labourer, she is able to provide financial support for her family.
The Prime Minister inquired about public interest in digital transactions. "What knowledge do you have about online transactions? Are consumers enthused by digital transactions?" PM Modi enquired.
Suprabha replied, "We ask customers to use a banking app so they may perform the online transaction and need not visit the bank for every task.
Faizal Showkat Shah, a different recruit from Jammu and Kashmir, claimed to have found employment at NIT Srinagar.
"I was hired by the NIT in Srinagar. I'm glad to be speaking with you today after receiving my appointment letter at the previous Rozgar Mela "said Faizal.
When the young people around him learned that he had a government job, the prime minister inquired as to their thoughts. "They want to settle down as well. They would hopefully be motivated by my accomplishments and help the country advance. Like me, my friends have been motivated to work for the government "The candidate answered.
The Rozgar Mela is anticipated to serve as a catalyst for increased job creation and give young people worthwhile possibilities for empowerment and involvement in societal development.
In response to the opposition's ongoing criticism of the government's job-creation efforts over the past eight years, the prime minister organised the "Rozgar Mela" to attract 10 lakh individuals.
PM Modi acknowledged the difficulties facing the global economy, with many nations suffering from record unemployment and inflation, in his speech following the distribution of appointment letters for various government jobs to more than 75,000 people in the first tranche. He added that India is making every effort to emerge unscathed from the situation.
On Dhanteras of last year, the Prime Minister introduced the Rozgar Mela concept at the national level. The drive to create 10 lakh employment at the federal level of government kicked off at this point.
Since then, the Prime Minister has addressed the Rozgar Melas of Gujarat, J-K and Maharashtra governments, and also launched a Karmayogi Prarambh module for online orientation courses for all new appointees in various Government departments while distributing about 71,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits.
