Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the rapid growth in trade between India and Russia, noting that discussions on a Free Trade Agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union have also begun. Modi recalled that he and President Vladimir Putin had set a target of surpassing $100 billion in bilateral trade by 2030. He said that based on recent conversations with President Putin and the potential both sides see, the goal will likely be achieved ahead of schedule. Modi added that India is moving forward with determination and his confidence in meeting the target early is growing.
