PM Modi to release 20th installment of PM-Kisan scheme from Varanasi on Saturday.

The 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme will be released on Saturday. In this regard, a high-level meeting was held in New Delhi yesterday, under the chairmanship of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The meeting reviewed the preparations for the event and to ensure that the benefit reaches the maximum number of farmers. The event will be led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

In the meeting, Mr. Chouhan instructed officials to connect farmers at national, state, district, and village levels with the programme, and called for organising the event as a nationwide campaign. He also urged farmers across the country to participate in the event. The Minister highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Six thousand rupees is being transferred to farmers in three instalments under the scheme, with each instalment issued every four months.
