PM Modi to visit Malaysia Feb 7–8 for Bilateral Talks

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay an official visit to Malaysia from February 7 to 8, 2026, at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
This will be Prime Minister Modi’s third visit to Malaysia and his first since the elevation of India–Malaysia ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in August 2024.
During the visit, Prime Minister Modi will hold bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. He is also scheduled to interact with members of the Indian community, as well as industry and business representatives. The 10th India–Malaysia CEO Forum will be held alongside the Prime Minister’s visit.
India and Malaysia share long-standing bonds of friendship, rooted in historical, civilisational, and cultural linkages. The relationship is further strengthened by the presence of a 2.9 million-strong Indian diaspora in Malaysia, the third largest in the world.
The India–Malaysia relationship is multi-faceted and expanding. The forthcoming visit will provide an opportunity for both leaders to review the full spectrum of bilateral cooperation, including trade and investment, defence, security and maritime cooperation, digital and financial technology, energy, healthcare, education, culture, tourism, and people-to-people ties, while also charting the course for future engagement for mutual benefit.
