RSS Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale Ji started his briefing by paying homage to the freedom
fighters Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev who were martyred on this day in 1923. He recalled
their contribution to the freedom movement and urged the society to draw inspiration from their
sacrifices. Dattatreya Hosabale Ji then spoke on the ABPS statement on Rani Abbakka. On her
500th birth anniversary, the RSS Sarkaryavah paid homage to Maharani Abbakka, recognised her as
Bharat’s great woman freedom fighter, a skilled administrator, and a fearless warrior. She valiantly
defended the small state of Ullal (Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka) against the Portuguese. Honoring
her contributions, the Government of Bharat issued a postal stamp in 2003 and named a patrol
vessel after her in 2009. Dattatreya Hosabale Ji urged the society to draw inspiration from her
courage and leadership for nation-building. Briefing the media on the ABPS, he said that the Sangh
has been successful in reaching out to every corner of the country. The Sangh not only works to
unify the nation but has actively involved in relief and rehabilitation activities during and after
natural calamities. The Sangh completes 100 years on the Vijayadashami day this year. As has been
conveyed earlier, the coming year will be focused on expansion and consolidation of its work.
Sangh's purpose is not to celebrate the milestone but to 1). introspect, 2). acknowledge the society
for its support for Sangh work and 3). rededicate ourselves to the cause of the nation and organising
the society. We resolve to work more meticulously, qualitatively and comprehensively in the
centenary year, he said. Apart from the resolution on Bangladesh, the ABPS has resolved on the
100 years of RSS. As Doctor ji said during its formation, the Sangh is not beginning any new task but
is continuing the mission that has been ongoing for many centuries. From the next Vijayadashami
day, the Sangh will focus on specific activities during the Sangh Shatabdi (centenary). They are as
follows:
1. Shatabdi year will commence on the occasion of Vijayadashmi 2025, where Khand or Nagar
level programs of Swayamsevakas in Ganavesh (Sangh Uniform) will be held. Sarsanghchalak
will address the Swayamsevaks on the occasion as every year, he said.
2. Large scale home to home contact campaign for three weeks has been planned with the
theme "Har gaon, Har basti-ghar-ghar" (every village, every locality and home to home)
generally between November 2025-January 2026. Sangh literature will be distributed and
events will organised by the local units.
3. He briefed that Hindu Sammelans at all Mandal or basti (locality) will be organised with the
message of unity and harmony in daily life of all without discrimination, contribution of
everyone to the cause of the nation and participation of every individual in Panch Parivartan.
4. Samajik Sadbhav meets (social cohesion) at Khand / city level will be organised, with the
emphasis on living as one harmoniously, he said. He also said the agenda of these meets will
also be to live a modern life without losing the cultural foundations and Hindu character. He
quoted the example of Mahakumbh where people from all walks of life came together.
5. Dattatreya Hosabale Ji said that important citizens dialogues will be organised at district
level. These programs will focus on setting the right narratives on national issues and set
aside the wrong narratives prevalent in society today.
6. Special programs for Youth will be planned by Prant units. Several programs for the youth
aged between 15 and 30 will be taken up that will focus on nation building activities, service
activities and Panch Parivartan. Local units will plan these events as per the need, he said.
Answering a question on demand of Hindu organisations on repealing the Wakf act, he said
that many farmers are also affected by encroachment of their lands by the Wakf. The
government is working on a solution and the wrongs must be addressed. Regarding
Aurangzeb, he said that those who are icons for the betterment of the society and nation
must be our idols and not those who are known for intolerance and do not represent the
ethos of this nation. Opposition to those like Aurangzeb is not religious but in the interest of
the nation and its cohesion. Though we gained political freedom in 1947, mental
colonisation is a reality even to this day and decolonization of the mind is much required.
On a question on reservation based on religion, he said that the courts have several times
set such actions of the government aside as it is unconstitutional. Any one going with such
political moves are going against the purpose of the makers of constitution, he said. On his
statement about the present national scenario especially over the situation in Manipur, he
said that the government has taken certain steps based on their assessment and Sangh has
only said that all measures must be taken that will resolve the issue and the lives of people
of Manipur return to normal and live harmoniously. Answering a question on the agenda of
the Sangh during the last 100 years, he said that the reawakening of the Hindu society has
been the agenda. Sangh agenda is to organise, the Hindu society. It was an uphill task due to
several inherent faults like untouchability. Sangh is steadfastly working on achieving the
same through the Shakhas and its nationwide activities that bring everyone together for a
harmonious society and nation.
