– On the occasion of National Startup Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in a programme marking a decade of the Startup India initiative today at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

Prime Minister Modi extended his wishes on National Startup Day, celebrating a decade of the Startup India initiative and honoring the innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of India’s youth. He highlighted the government’s efforts to strengthen the startup ecosystem, enabling ventures in new sectors like space and defense, and supporting an Aatmanirbhar Bharat. PM Modi also acknowledged mentors, investors, incubators, and institutions whose guidance encourages young entrepreneurs and fuels India’s growth.

and wrote, "Best wishes to everyone associated with the world of StartUps on the occasion of National StartUp Day. Today is special because we mark a decade since the launch of StartUp India. This day is about celebrating the courage, spirit of innovation and entrepreneurial zeal of our people, especially our youth, who have powered India’s rise in the global StartUp ecosystem."

, "The Government of India has been working with all stakeholders to further strengthen India’s StartUp ecosystem. The Reform Express that India has embarked on has created a very conducive atmosphere for StartUps to venture into areas previously unthinkable, be it space, defence and more. I am proud that our StartUps are playing a pivotal role in building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat. We remain committed to supporting our youth who want to take risks and become problem solvers."

He further

, "This is also a day to acknowledge the ecosystem of mentors, incubators, investors, academic institutions and others who support StartUps. Their support and insights go a long way in encouraging our youth as they innovate and contribute to growth."

During the programme, the Prime Minister will interact with members of India’s vibrant startup ecosystem. Select startup representatives will share insights from their entrepreneurial journeys. The Prime Minister will also address the gathering on this occasion.

Over the past decade, Startup India has emerged as a cornerstone of India’s economic and innovation architecture. India’s startup ecosystem has witnessed unprecedented expansion during this period, with more than 2,00,000 startups recognised across the country.
