The outbreak of cold waves will increase in Haryana-Punjab, Himachal Delhi.

According to the Meteorological Department, the mercury may fall further in the coming week. Due to this people may have to face cold. The Himalayan Terai states of Bihar, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura may witness fog in the coming week. In the forecast released on December 18, the Meteorological Department told that an outbreak of cold waves can be seen in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Western Haryana, and North Rajasthan today. Today it is expected to be foggy in Himachal, Punjab, and Tripura.

According to IMD, a sheet of fog and haze will be seen in Delhi from Sunday 18 December to 23 December. Along with this, there are chances of severe cold in the entire North India. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), northwesterly dry and cold winds will continue over the northwest, central and eastern parts of the country, causing a drop in day and night temperatures.

According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature is falling in Chhattisgarh due to the northern winds. On Sunday, December 18, the weather is likely to remain dry during the day and there may be a drop in the minimum temperature. In the next 72 hours, the minimum temperature in the state may drop by 2 to 3 degrees. The bone-chilling cold has also been predicted in MP, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Jharkhand from 25 December.
