CM Nitish Kumar arrives at Raj Bhavan to meet Governor

Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar and a leader of the Janata Dal (United), arrived at the Raj Bhavan on Tuesday to meet with Governor Phagu Chauhan amid rumors of a fracture in the state's ruling JD(U)-BJP alliance.

The action was taken following a JD(U) meeting held at Nitish Kumar's official house. All of the JD(U) party's MLAs and MPs expressed their support for chief minister Kumar's choice during the meeting today. Additionally, they stated that they will continue to back Kumar's selection .

Outside the chief minister's mansion, a large police presence was visible. Many JD(U) lawmakers reportedly reminded chief minister Kumar in today's meeting that the BJP alliance had undermined them since 2020.
