Amit Shah leaves today on a three-day trip to Sikkim and Assam

On Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah departed on a three-day trip to Sikkim and Assam. According to a recent tweet from the Home Minister, he will officially open the Eastern and North-Eastern Zones Dairy Cooperative Conclave 2022 today in Gangtok, Sikkim. A number of events will also take place in Assam.

The newly built Assam state BJP office in the Basistha neighbourhood of Guwahati will be officially opened by the party's senior leaders on Saturday, according to Assam State BJP President Bhabesh Kalita, in the presence of state party officials and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Nadda and Shah will also be present at the Guwahati Veterinary College playground for the party workers' gathering.

The BJP is still in control of coalition governments in Meghalaya and Nagaland as well as Arunachal Pradesh.

The BJP initially took power in Manipur in 2017 and then did so again in 2022.
