The dates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections are set to be announced on Tuesday. The Election Commission will hold a press conference at around 2 pm to reveal the schedule for the elections, which are expected to take place next month.

This time, the contest is likely to be a triangular one between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Congress. With the announcement of the election dates, the model code of conduct will come into effect.

Earlier on Monday, the Election Commission released the final voter list for the Delhi Assembly elections. The Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi shared data on registered voters as of January 1, 2025. According to the latest figures, Delhi has a total of 1 crore 55 lakh 24 thousand 858 voters. Of these, 83 lakh 49 thousand 645 are male, 71 lakh 73 thousand 952 are female, and 1,261 are third-gender voters.

The number of voters in Delhi has seen a 1.09 percent increase since the previous data released on October 29, 2024. The Vikaspuri assembly constituency has the highest number of voters, with 4 lakh 62 thousand 184, while the Delhi Cantt assembly constituency has the lowest, with 78 thousand
