Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, praised the nation's ranking as the fifth-largest economy in the world on Sunday, noting that it is evidence of India's "growing prestige globally."
"The nation is creating brand-new development models. The fact that India is currently the world's fifth-largest economy during Azadi's Amrit year attests to the country's rising stature internationally "Yogi made this statement while officially opening the 90th Maharana Pratap Education Parishad Founder's Week celebrations in Gorakhpur.
"The G-20, a group of 20 nations that control 80% of the world's resources, was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Our nation will lead the entire world as its leader, "he continued.
He claimed that when India develops, the Covid-19 management model will also be a topic of discussion. He emphasised that "even when the Covid-19 pandemic engulfed the entire world, the administration made serious efforts towards the interests of the citizens."
The Chief Minister said that by declaring the National Education Policy during this period, the Prime Minister had set a big target in front of the country.
"This education policy is paving the way for all-round development. All educational institutions should join the National Education Policy and prepare themselves to discharge their responsibilities towards society and the nation," he said.
Emphasising that the citizens should equally take the resposibility of turning the country into the number one economy in the world and UP into the number one economy in the country, the Chief Minister said that research, development and startups in all sectors like agriculture, education, technology, should be encouraged.
"Uttar Pradesh offers countless opportunities. This is a farming state. Here, there are plenty of water resources and fertile land "explained he.
Retired President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and former Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria were cited by CM Yogi to inspire the children, adding that "those who do not give up even after failure become a fresh inspiration."
He urged the institutions to engage the students in both academic and competitive activities, not just schooling.
