Krishna Janmashtami celebrated across Chenab Valley Like other parts of the country, 'Krishna Janmashtami,was celebrated traditionally with religious fervor and enthusiasm across Bhaderwah valley amid tight security arrangements today ‘Jhankies’ of Lord Krishna in fully decorated chariot by the devotees were taken out from ancient Vasuki Nag Temple Gatha, Lakshmi Narayan Temple, beside Shankhoja, Mathola, Bheja, Manthla, Haliyan, Dalain, Thubba and Lagsaroo areas of Bhadarwah to celebrate the auspicious day of Krishna Janmashtami. Devotees, especially women folk visited their respective Temples and take the blessings of Lord Krishna on his birth anniversary. The Jhankies started with traditional Pooja Archana of Lord Krishna by religious scholars in their respective Temples. Muslim community also greeted their Hindu brotherens on the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami.
