Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that many journalists also fell victim to this infection and lost their lives while performing their duties during the covid infection. CM Yogi Adityanath on Sunday gave checks of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of journalists who died of corona infection at his official residence. During this, the Chief Minister reiterated the resolution of all necessary help to the families of the deceased during the Kovid period. He said that the manner in which the journalists made society aware and revealed the shortcomings of the system with a positive spirit, even in the midst of the adverse circumstances of the Corona period, is commendable.
In a program organized on the occasion of Good Governance Day, the Chief Minister gave assistance of Rs 5.30 crore to the families of 53 journalists who died during the Corona period. Last July, the families of 50 journalists were also given the assistance of Rs 10 lakh each. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that 103 journalists in the state died due to corona infection.
The state government stands with every family in this hour of grief. As a support, each family is being given assistance of Rs 10 lakh. Apart from this, pension to destitute women as per rules, and other assistance will also be provided to destitute children under Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana and PM Care Yojana. He said that the information department would ensure that the families of the journalists get the benefits of these schemes.
Will bring a residential scheme for journalists
Addressing the families of the journalists, the Chief Minister said that even though the paths of both the journalists and the government are different, the goal is the same. Both work with the aim of national welfare and public welfare. Works with minimum resources and under adverse conditions. The government wants to provide residential facilities to all journalists.

Editors and senior journalists from all leading newspapers were present in the program. Principal Secretary Information Sanjay Prasad, Director Information Shishir, Additional Director Information Anshuman Tripathi, BJP's media in-charge Manish Dixit, and spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi were also present.
