UP: Bus-truck collision in Lakhimpur Kheri results in 8 fatalities and more than 25 injuries

28 September (ANI), Lakhimpur Kheri (Uttar Pradesh), India In Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, a truck and a private bus headed to Lucknow collided, resulting in at least eight fatalities and more than 25 injuries.

The tragedy happened in the vicinity of Era bridge and the Police Station range of Isanagar when the bus was travelling from Dhaurehra to Lucknow.

Sanjay Kumar, Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Lakhimpur Kheri claimed that while some of the injured were sent to Lucknow, all the injured were transported to a district hospital.

The ADM and Circle Officer (CO) City arrived at the district hospital after getting the information.State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed sympathy for the incident and gave the senior authorities instructions to head to the scene and see to the injured people's well-being.
