Germany's national carrier Lufthansa cancelled nearly 900 flights on Thursday amid a 27-hour strike by ground staff.
The largest passenger hubs in Frankfurt and Munich are the worst hit, with other main airports including Hamburg, Berlin and Düsseldorf also affected.
Lufthansa said more than 100,000 passengers would have to cancel flights to and from Frankfurt and Munich. The airline has urged passengers booked on cancelled flights not to visit Airport
The strike came amid Lufthansa Group wage negotiations for about 25,000 ground crew employees at Lufthansa. There is news of a lot of loss due to this strike. Meanwhile, the employees rejected the offer of employers in the second round of talks on January 23.
