President Droupadi Murmu will present the National Energy Conservation Awards today at Vigyan Bhavan in the national capital Delhi.
This year, a new category has been introduced under the awards for social media influencers and content creators, aimed at raising awareness about the importance of energy conservation and highlighting the nation’s achievements in energy efficiency.
The President will address the gathering and also felicitate the winners of the National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation.
Union Minister for Power and Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, will also address the event. Minister of State for Power, Shripad Naik, will be present on the occasion.
National Energy Conservation Day is observed every year on December 14.
