PM Modi: Chandra Shekhar Azad’s legacy inspires youth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad on his birth anniversary on Wednesday.

In a post on x

, PM Modi stated, “Tributes to Chandra Shekhar Azad on his birth anniversary. He epitomised unparalleled valour and grit. His role in India’s quest for freedom is deeply valued and motivates our youth to stand up for what is just, with courage and conviction.”

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also paid tribute to freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad. He shared a post on

X

and wrote,

"I pay my humble tribute to Bharat Mata's immortal son, the great revolutionary Chandra Shekhar Azad, on his birth anniversary. His courage, determination, and sacrifice for the nation inspire every Indian even today and will continue to inspire generations to come."

Chandra Shekhar Azad was a prominent revolutionary leader in the Indian independence movement. Born in 1906, he was known for his fearless fight against British colonial rule and his dedication to armed resistance. Azad was a key figure in the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association and famously vowed never to be captured alive, ultimately sacrificing his life in 1931. His courage and patriotism remain a symbol of India’s struggle for freedom.
