President Marcos Jr. Gets Ceremonial Welcome in New Delhi

Philippines President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., who is on a five-day official visit to India, received a ceremonial welcome at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Reaffirming the strong partnership between India and the Philippines, President Marcos expressed commitment to deepening bilateral ties. He noted that the term "Indo-Pacific" represents the correct evolution of the earlier "Asia-Pacific" concept, emphasizing shared regional interests.

As part of his engagements, President Marcos paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by laying a wreath at his memorial at Rajghat.

During his stay, President Marcos is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital. He will also meet President Droupadi Murmu later in the day.
