The general manager of Yemen's Al-Makha Port visited the crew members recovering in a hospital and condemned the alleged Houthi militia attack on the India-flagged commercial vessel.

He said targeting the vessel was an attack on every Yemeni citizen and the strength of the Yemeni people.

"We at the Red Sea Ports Corporation condemn and denounce what happened to the Indian commercial vessel today, 13 nautical miles south of Hodeidah. What happened was a blatant attack targeting the commercial vessel with an explosive-laden boat. Targeting this commercial vessel is an attack on every Yemeni citizen and on the strength of the Yemeni people, as it was not carrying any military equipment and had no connection to any military activity," he said.
