Attack on Salman Rushdie by unidentified man is an act of terror

The whole world is praying for speedy recovery of notable writer Salman Rushdie, who was attacked by an unidentified fundamentalist.

Salman Rushdie was on target of Islamic fundamentalist for his free expression on Islam.

He got death threats from Iran for writing the book "The Satanic Versus".

When he was attacked, he was delivering a lecture in the Chautauqua Institute in Western New York State. He was stabbed twice, one in neck and one in abdomen.

New York state police identified a suspect from New Jersey but still unable to identify the motive behind the attack. The interviewer with Rushdie was also attacked and suffered minor head injury. The attack on Salman Rushdie has evoked wide spread condemnation from people across the globe.
