India's Health Ministry reports 402 new coronavirus cases

According to the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday, the number of coronavirus infections in India rose by 402 in a single day, bringing the total number of active cases to 3,903. The overall death toll from the virus is now 5,30,784 according to ministry figures updated at 8 am, with one fatality each in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh.

The total number of Covid cases in the country stood at 4.46 crore (4,46,91,338).

According to the health ministry, the national COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.80%, while the active cases make up 0.01 percent of all infections

4,41,56,651 individuals had recovered from the illness, and the case fatality rate was 1.19 percent.

The website of the ministry reports that as of this writing, the statewide COVID-19 vaccination push had administered 220.64 crore doses of the Covid vaccine in the nation.
