Three Israeli men, held captive in Gaza for 16 months, are set to be released by Hamas on Saturday.

The three men set to be released on Saturday are Eli Sharabi, Or Levy, and Ohad Ben Ami.

Ohad Ben Ami and Eli Sharabi were both taken hostage from Kibbutz Be'eri during the Hamas attack on Oct 7, 2023, while Or Levy was abducted on the same day from the Nova music festival.

This will be the fifth hostage-prisoner swap between Hamas and Israel as part of a Gaza ceasefire deal.

In exchange, Israel will release 183 prisoners from its jails.

Since the truce took effect on January 19, 13 Israeli or dual-national hostages have been freed, along with five Thai hostages released outside of the agreement for the first stage.

A total of 33 hostages, eight of whom Israel says are dead, are set to be released during the first 42-day phase of the deal in exchange for approximately 1,900 Palestinians held by Israel.
