The United States Virtual Embassy in Iran on Monday issued an advisory urging American citizens to “Leave Iran now.”

The advisory warned that protests across the country are escalating and could turn violent, potentially leading to arrests, injuries, and major disruptions to daily life. It also noted that the Iranian government has “restricted access to mobile, landline, and national internet networks.”

Travel disruptions were highlighted as well, with several airlines limiting or cancelling flights to and from Iran.

Over 646 people have died in Iran amid a violent crackdown on nationwide protests, as authorities hold mass rallies to assert control. Iran accuses the U.S. and Israel of backing “terrorists,” while US President Donald Trump signals diplomacy but keeps military options open.
