– Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas conference in Odisha. While addressing the event, the Prime Minister emphasized that Indians can easily connect with any country they move to. He further mentioned that the hearts of the Indian diaspora continue to beat for India.

The Prime Minister also highlighted India's rapid growth, breaking all records. He expressed optimism that the day is not far when the Indian diaspora will travel to participate in this event in planes made in India. PM Modi stated that the scale at which India is progressing in the 21st century is unprecedented. Over the past decade, he has met with several global leaders, all of whom have praised the Indian diaspora.

Furthermore, a special exhibition showcasing the historic journey of Indians who have settled in Oman for centuries was displayed at the conference. The Prime Minister viewed the exhibition and appreciated the achievements of the Indian diaspora. He also made a special request to preserve the history of the Girmitiya Indians’ migration.
