British Foreign Minister raised the issue of BBC tax: Jaishankar said – the organization working in India will have to follow the law


An important meeting of foreign ministers of G20 countries is going to be held in Delhi today and tomorrow. Prior to this meeting, British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly met Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday. During this, cleverly raised the issue of the Income Tax Department's survey on BBC's Delhi and Mumbai offices on 14th February.

Cleverly also said that the BBC is an independent organization, and that the government is separate. He hasn't seen the documentary but has seen reactions from the UK and India. News agency ANI quoted sources as saying- Jaishankar has told the British Foreign Minister that all the companies working in India will have to follow the rules and regulations of the country.

James said – working extensively with India

Meanwhile, on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and Britain, James said that we are working extensively with India. I will meet the Trade Secretary of India. We want to make sure that this trade deal actually benefits both countries.
