French President Emmanuel Macron announced that Europe is prepared to offer security guarantees to Ukraine once a peace agreement is reached.
Speaking alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Élysée Palace in Paris on the eve of the Paris Summit, Macron stated that the guarantees are ready and will be formally endorsed on Thursday by the “coalition of the willing” supporting Kyiv.
“Security guarantees for Ukraine are ready,” Macron said, noting that they would be backed by a broad coalition of allied nations.
President Zelenskyy, in his remarks, emphasized that the united stance of Europe, Ukraine, and the United States would increase pressure on Russia to pursue a diplomatic solution.
