Shri Sudhakar Dalela has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Royal Kingdom of Bhutan.
Shri Sudhakar Dalela (IFS : 1993), presently Deputy Chief of Mission in the Embassy of India, Washington, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Royal Kingdom of Bhutan. Shri Sudhakar is a seasoned diplomate, his tenure in Bhutan would help India to tackle Chinese influence.
Of late China was very aggressive on Bhutanese Bowandriews but India's prompt and strong action forced them to rethink their policy.
India knows that Bhutan is very important for India's Internal peace. When China realized that the aggressive mode is not useful, it started the policy of lending money and friendship. China was partially successful as Bhutan came under its influence.
India should play very cautiously to restrict Chines influence on this neighbor otherwise situation on borders may get worse.
