Update: 2025-10-17 05:13 GMT

Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today.

Earlier on Thursday, India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar held talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty. The two leaders met for the 1st India-Egypt Strategic Dialogue in New Delhi.

Delivering the opening remarks at this important dialogue, Minister Dr. Jaishankar termed the meeting a milestone in India-Egypt ties. Since the elevation of the relationship to a strategic partnership in 2023, cooperation in various domains has intensified.

The high-profile visit follows recent interactions between India and Egypt at the Gaza Peace Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, where Union Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi earlier this week.

The visit underscores the continued strengthening of diplomatic, political, and strategic ties between India and Egypt.
