Japan has strongly condemned North Korea’s suspected ballistic missile launch on Monday. Tokyo’s Defence Ministry confirmed detecting at least one suspected ballistic missile that fell into the Sea of Japan, outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone.
Japan lodged a strong protest through diplomatic channels, calling the launch a violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions that threatens regional peace and security.
State Minister of Defense Takashi Koyari said Pyongyang launched at least two ballistic missiles, which are estimated to have fallen near North Korea’s east coast.
