Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his heartfelt wishes to the people of Jharkhand on the occasion of the State’s Foundation Day. He said Jharkhand is a glorious land enriched with vibrant tribal culture. Recalling the legacy of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, he noted that the history of the land is filled with inspiring tales of courage, struggle and dignity.
The Prime Minister also conveyed his good wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of all families in the state.
PM Modi paid respectful tributes to Bhagwan Birsa Munda on his 150th Jayanti, stating that on Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, the nation remembers his unparalleled contribution to protecting the honour and dignity of the motherland. He added that Birsa Munda’s struggle and sacrifice against the injustices of foreign rule will continue to inspire generations.
