– Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Argentina on Saturday, marking the third leg of his five-nation tour of the Global South.
He was accorded a grand welcome upon his arrival in the capital, Buenos Aires.
On reaching the hotel, Prime Minister Modi received another warm reception, with members of the Indian community gathering in large numbers to greet him. The crowd enthusiastically raised slogans of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and "Modi-Modi."

, writing, “Landed in Buenos Aires for a bilateral visit which will focus on augmenting relations with Argentina. I’m eager to be meeting President Javier Milei and holding detailed talks with him.”

During the two-day visit to Buenos Aires , he will hold talks with President Javier Milei.
The two leaders are expected to review ongoing cooperation and discuss ways to further enhance the India–Argentina partnership in key areas including defence, agriculture, critical minerals, mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, trade and investment, and people-to-people ties.
The visit aims to further deepen the multifaceted Strategic Partnership between India and Argentina.
This is the first bilateral visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Argentina in 57 years.
Argentina is a key economic partner in Latin America and a close collaborator in the G-20.
