CBI questioning Rabri for 4 hours: questions raised in case of giving job in exchange for land, former CM said – all this goes on
The CBI team reached the residence of Lalu Prasad Yadav's wife and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi in Patna on Monday morning in connection with the case of giving a job in exchange for land. CBI officers stayed at the residence for about 4 hours. After questioning Rabri Devi, the team left from here. May interrogate Lalu Yadav and Misa Bharti on Tuesday in Delhi.
After this inquiry, Rabri Devi reached out to attend the proceedings of the Legislative Council. The younger son and Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav came and took him away. On the question of the CBI inquiry, Rabri Devi said that nothing has happened. All this has been going on.
According to media reports, the team of 12 officers reached their 10 Circular Road residence in Patna in 2 to 3 vehicles. In protest against this, RJD leaders and workers sat on a dharna outside the residence. In view of this, security was increased.
The court has issued a summons on the CBI's charge sheet in the Land for Job scam. Apart from Lalu Prasad, the CBI has named Rabri Devi, and 14 others as accused in the charge sheet. Rabri, Lalu, and Misa have been ordered to appear in court on March 15.
The first inquiry was to be held in the office
When the team reached Rabri's house in the morning, sons Tej Pratap and Tejashwi Yadav were also present, but later they left for the assembly. According to media reports, CBI had given notice for questioning Rabri Devi. Earlier this inquiry was to be held in the CBI office, but later, giving relief to him, agreed to do it at his house.
Tejashwi said – CBI should open the office here
Deputy CM Tejashwi said that the CBI has come in the case of a so-called job in exchange for land. This has been happening since the day the government was formed. Happening every month. I say that the CBI should open the office at the residence itself. Earlier, also CBI investigated and closed this case several times. Railways have not considered it a scam.
Opposition's reaction to this action of CBI
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that it is wrong for CBI to reach Rabri Devi's house, and it is not right to raid the people of the opposition. I said yesterday that it is becoming a trend, in the states where there is opposition, they will not be allowed to work.
Former Deputy CM Renu Devi said outside the assembly – CBI is a government organization, and it will do its job. If something happens, it will come out, if it doesn't happen, it will not come out. He also said that all this does not happen at the behest of the BJP.
RJD MLA Mukesh Roshan has said that CBI is a parrot of the BJP. With the spirit of revenge, she harasses Lalu ji's family.
RJD leader Uday Narayan Chowdhary reached outside the residence of Rabri Devi. He said that the Government of India is scared of Lalu ji. Ever since the alliance took place, it has been in a state of panic.

CBI raided in May and August last year
In May 2022, the CBI raided 17 locations including Lalu, Rabri Devi, and their daughters Misa Bharti and Hema Yadav. The CBI had registered an FIR in this case against 16 people, including Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi, Misa Yadav, and Hema Yadav, besides some ineligible candidates who were offered land at low prices in return for jobs. CBI once again raided RJD leaders on 24 August 2022.
Know what land for job scam is?
The land-for-job scam took place when Lalu was the railway minister (2004 to 2009). In the land-for-job scam, Lalu and his family members are accused of taking land in lieu of getting jobs in the railways. In this case, CBI registered a new case of corruption in May 2022 against Lalu and his family members.
According to the CBI, in this way, Lalu Yadav's family acquired more than 1 lakh square feet of land in Bihar for just Rs 26 lakh, while according to the circle rate of that time, the land was worth about Rs 4.39 crore. The special thing is that in most cases of land transfer, the landowner was paid in cash.
Lalu is out on bail in a fodder scam
Former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav is currently out of jail in the fodder scam case. He got bail for a kidney transplant. Daughter Rohini Acharya donated a kidney in Singapore. Lalu is currently at her daughter Misa Bharti's house in Delhi.
