Amit Shah to Chair Regional Conference on "Drug Trafficking and National Security"
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair a regional conference on "Drug Trafficking and National Security" in New Delhi on Saturday. The conference is set to address the growing concerns surrounding drug trafficking and its impact on national security.
In addition to the conference, the minister will launch the Drug Disposal Fortnight, which will run from 11th January to 25th January. During this period, a total of 44,792 kg of seized narcotics, valued at Rs 2411 crore, will be disposed of.
The initiative forms part of the government's ongoing efforts to combat the drug menace and ensure the security and well-being of the nation.
