– Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj is set to be a unique blend of age-old traditions and cutting-edge technology. The event will bring millions of devotees from across the globe together, while leveraging digital advancements to enhance security, infrastructure, and the overall experience.

This year, the Uttar Pradesh government is implementing comprehensive cybersecurity measures to ensure the safety of attendees, including the establishment of a Maha Kumbh Cyber Police Station and the deployment of 56 cyber experts to monitor online threats. With the use of 40 Variable Messaging Displays (VMDs), the government aims to raise awareness about online scams and ensure the safety of pilgrims both on-site and online.

Maha Kumbh 2025 will offer an immersive experience through 360-degree virtual reality stalls and a spectacular drone show featuring 2,000 drones, which will narrate iconic stories like Samudra Manthan and highlight the spiritual significance of Prayagraj. These digital experiences will add a modern touch to age-old spiritual rituals, allowing devotees to engage with the festival in innovative ways while maintaining the sanctity of tradition.

The infrastructure around Maha Kumbh 2025 is being transformed with the digitalization of land allotments, making it easier for pilgrims and institutions to access essential information. Drone surveys and GIS-based mapping will help ensure smooth navigation of the event.

Approximately 45 crore devotees are expected to visit Maha Kumbh Nagar. To ensure the effective dissemination of information, the Uttar Pradesh government will utilize various platforms, including print, digital, and social media. Cyber experts are monitoring online threats and investigating groups exploiting platforms like AI, Facebook, X, and Instagram. A mobile cyber team is also deployed for public awareness campaigns. The team has identified around 50 suspicious websites, and action is underway.

For the first time, a Lost and Found registration system will be introduced, using digital tools to reunite lost pilgrims with their families. Online stay bookings for Maha Kumbh Gram will also be available from January 10 to February 28, ensuring the accommodation of the expected influx of visitors in a safe and comfortable manner.

Maha Kumbh 2025 promises to be a transformative event, where faith, culture, and technology converge to offer a truly unique experience for millions worldwide.
