President Pays Tribute to Atal Ji on 100th Anniversary

On the occasion of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's 100th birth anniversary, dignitaries from across the country gathered to pay their respects at his Samadhi, 'Sadaiv Atal', in New Delhi on Wednesday.



President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were among the prominent leaders who participated in the solemn tribute ceremony. Other distinguished guests, including political leaders and officials, also joined in honoring Vajpayee's legacy.


President Murmu paid floral tributes to the late leader at the memorial site. Expressing her respect for Vajpayee’s contributions to India, she highlighted his role in shaping the nation’s political and societal framework.


The event saw leaders reflecting on Vajpayee's statesmanship, with his influence still being felt in India’s political landscape. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who served as Prime Minister from 1998 to 2004, is remembered for his efforts to modernize India, including the establishment of key infrastructure projects and his pivotal role in India’s nuclear policy.

The tributes marked a day of remembrance for the leader, who continues to be regarded as one of India's most respected and influential statesmen.
