The Indian women's cricket team beat England by 4 wickets in the first One Day International in Southampton on Wednesday.
Deepti Sharma's unbeaten half-century, supported by Jemimah Rodrigues and Amanjot Kaur, helped India chase down 259 with 10 balls to spare.
With this, the Indian women’s team registered their second-highest successful chase in ODIs. It was also the third-highest chase on English soil by any team.
The Indian team has taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Both teams will clash again in the second ODI on Saturday.
