Ministry seeks reply from wrestling association, given time of 72 hours
New Delhi: The Sports Ministry has sought a response from the Wrestling Federation of India on allegations of sexual exploitation of wrestlers. It is clear that now the Center has also intervened in the ongoing dispute between the wrestlers and the wrestling association. Let us tell you that Vinesh Phogat, the first Indian star woman wrestler to win gold medals in both Commonwealth Games and Asian Games, on Wednesday made serious allegations against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) and its President Brijbhushan Sharan Singh. After which the Center has also made an entry into this matter and within 72 hours has sought an answer on the entire matter.

Veteran athlete Vinesh Phogat, who has also represented India in the Olympics, said that "women wrestlers have been molested by national coaches over the years." Sitting in the protest demanding the removal of the Speaker Rio Olympic medalist wrestler Sakshi Malik, Sarita More, etc. are also involved in the protest.
Vinesh made a flurry of allegations
Vinesh further said, "We were threatened that our career will end if we speak up. Federation members used abusive words against women wrestlers. Phogat further said," We have also approached the Prime Minister, some coaches are close to national federations, those coaches have exploited young girls and don't know how many young girls have suffered because of them."Olympic bronze medalist wrestler Bajrang Punia said, "We will not participate in any international competition until the WFI president is removed".
The Federation gave this answer
After the serious allegations of Vinesh Phogat, the President of the Wrestling Federation of India Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh (WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh) has responded to the allegations. He said that "I came here as soon as I came to know that the wrestlers are protesting. Is there anyone on record who can say that the federation has tampered with us?"He also said in a press conference that "If you had such issues with the federation, why didn't anyone raise them for 10 years? Whenever rules are made, issues come up."
WFI chief Brij Bhushan further said, "There is no truth in the allegations of wrestlers against me, even if a sexual harassment case is proved, I am ready to go to the gallows, I will not quit the post of WFI president but I will I am ready for CBI or police investigation.
He further alleged, "There is an industrialist behind this conspiracy against me. If Vinesh received death threats, then why didn't he approach the police."
