CBI conducts nationwide crackdown in digital arrest cases
CBI coordinated searches in 89 locations across 20 states in the country.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today conducted a nationwide crackdown in three major cases of Digital Arrest, and detained three people under operation Chakra-VI. Taking strong action against the menace of digital arrest with its ever-rising cases across the country, the Investigation Agency coordinated searches in 89 locations across 20 states in the country.
The agency informed the operation was meticulously planned following leads and led to the arrest of three persons in three different cases of digital arrest. The agency noted that the scammer from Rajasthan defrauded 7.67 Crore Rupees, one from Gujarat defrauded 19.24 Crore rupees and Rajasthan based scammer defrauded 15.45 Crore rupees.
The agency also expressed its commitment to fight against the organized crime of Digital Arrest, a menace underscored by the apex court, a grave threat to the citizens across the country.
