Unmarried heartless mother: Thrown down from the third floor after giving birth to the child, crossed the limits of cruelty with the innocent
Police have identified the accused 20-year-old girl by registering a case of murder and destruction of evidence. He had thrown the innocent down from the bathroom of his flat.
A heart-wrenching incident has come to the fore in East Delhi's New Ashok Nagar area. Here an unmarried mother after giving birth to a child threw him down from the third floor. When the child fell near the women who were warming their hands by the fire in the apartment, there was chaos. Immediately the newborn was taken to Metro Hospital in Noida, where he was declared brought dead.
Eastern District Deputy Commissioner of Police Amrutha Googuloth said that at around 9.25 am on Monday, the police received information that an innocent person had been thrown down at Jai Ambe Apartment, New Ashok Nagar. Police reached the spot as soon as the news was received. From there it was learned that the child has been taken to Metro Hospital. On reaching there, the death of the child was known. Police took the dead body of the innocent and sent it to the mortuary for postmortem.
Eyewitness three women said that she was baking hands to avoid cold in the apartment. Meanwhile, he heard the sound of something falling down. It seemed that someone had deliberately thrown the child. Due to the fog, it could not be known who had thrown the innocent from top to bottom. The police immediately started investigating the apartment. Police found some blood-stained clothes in a chest kept outside one of the flats on the third floor.
When the police went to the house and investigated, it was found that 20-year-old Priya, who lives in the flat, had given birth to a child on Sunday night. The girl works in a private company in Noida. He was not married. She became pregnant after befriending a young man. Later she could not miscarry. After giving birth, she made up her mind to kill the child out of fear of society and threw it down from the bathroom on the third floor.
The police took the girl into custody and admitted her to the hospital. A case of murder and destruction of evidence has been registered against him. The girl has a younger sister and brother in her family. Police are interrogating the parents and trying to find out whether these people have any hand in the incident.
