Educate youth about unhealthy food habits and lifestyle: Vice President
While intracting with the doctors the Vice President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu asked them to be pro-active in educating people, particularly the youth about the dangers of sedentary lifestyles and unhealthy food habits in view of the rise in non-communicable diseases.
A delegation of Delhi Medical Association on the occasion of Doctors Day, met with Shri Naidu .
The Vice President,has called upon doctors to be pro-active in educating people, particularly the youth about the dangers of sedentary lifestyles and unhealthy food habits in view of the rise in non-communicable diseases.
He stressed the need to reach out to the downtrodden and marginalized sections of society with affordable healthcare . The Vice President wanted doctors to visit nearby educational institutions in their respective localities and create awareness about the serious impact of a sedentary lifestyle and unhealthy diet on the health of the people.
